Richard Robertson “Coach Rob” is entering his second year as the camp director at Kidcam Kiroli Park, and he is ready to make this the “coolest camp” in N. Louisiana. He is currently a teacher at Lee Junior High School in Monroe where he coaches football and track. He also works closely with the basketball and baseball coaches to generate much needed funds for their programs.
Before moving to Lee, Robertson was a teacher at Rayville High School for seven years. While there, he taught several subjects, and served as the head baseball coach for three seasons. He was also a coach with the football team, and took care of player injuries for 4 seasons. He is “The On-Air Voice of the Rayville Hornets” as he has broadcast football and basketball games for the Hornets over the last two seasons on the radio and online.
Coach Rob is also active in the Monroe/West Monroe community. He has served on several committees with nonprofit organizations, and continues to play disc golf and host disc golf tournaments in the Twin Cities.
Robertson earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe in Speech Communication in 1999 and completed his Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Louisiana Tech in 2013. He is certified in CPR for all ages.
Rickey and his wife Missy live in Monroe with daughter, Sadie, and they have three grandsons: Phillip, Korbin, and Konner.
