For campers ages entering Kindergarten through 13, Kidcam Summer Camp thrives in the heart of Alabama’s Gulf State Park.
In its 5th summer at GSP, Kidcam loves being a part of everything offered at Gulf State Park. Convenient & affordable weekly sessions provide parents the perfect match for a fun & safe camp experience for campers ages 5-13 years.
Weekly field trips, daily swimming and Kidcam’s engaging Kid’s Choice theme provide campers activities they want and that are action-packed, promote fun, fitness, friendship, and creativity each week of camp. This camp location offers campers all the things they love about Kidcam & Gulf State Park, plus the same 45-year Kidcam programming & staff and committment to summer excellence. Gulf State Park offers campers a great indoor space for arts, science & an escape from the heat, plus a large pool, splash pad, tennis courts, nature center, golf course, beaches, fishing and more.
Summer Camp Information Sessions
Open Houses are information sessions for parents to learn more about the program, meet the director, see the facility, and ask questions as it relates to summer camp. T-Shirts and merchandise should be purchased through your parent account shopping cart, and will be available for pickup during the May Welcome to Camp Day.

Information hour takes place inside the Activity Center inside the Campground, which is located in the build behind the Nature Center and next to the pool. This is where camp takes place. You can access this entrance from the main Beach Blvd, and let the Guard know you are coming to the Kidcam Open House.

Tuition, Fees & Discounts
The following rates will be in effect for the 2020 camp season:
|Registration Fee||A non-refundable one-time Registration Fee of $50 for the first child and $35 for each additional child. Registration fees are subject to change after April 1st based on the camp enrollment.|
|Weekly Rate*||$105 per week without discounts.|
|Weekly Payments*||Given COVID-19, we are requesting that Weeks be purchased in advance during at least Phase 1 when we are at 25% occupancy limitations. We reserve the right to close weeks at any time based once enrollment capacity is reached.||*Weekly prices will increase, or a week may close, based on current enrollment, after the ‘end of Friday’ payment deadline.|
|Sibling Discounts||Kidcam offers a 10% discount on tuition for siblings that are in the same household and attend the same week. Please Note: An additional 10% discount does not apply to siblings when you buy 3+ weeks per child and receive the 10% savings on all tuition payments.|
|Refunds||In 2020, refunds will be provided up until the Thursday prior to any week a camper is registered to attend. For specific details on refunds if a child is released from camp due to health or behavior issues, please see your camp director for the official refund policy.|
Food for Thought
Campers may purchase breakfast, lunch, and snacks at camp using funds from the prepaid food account. Deposit funds, and any charges will be deducted. You may add more funds as needed.
Lunch: $5.00 includes a combo meal with drink and chips.
Snacks: $1.50 includes a snack and drink (Mid-Day & Aftercare)

Gear Up for Fun
|Gear||Kidcam t-shirts are $12 and must be worn to camp daily.||Limited Edition Camp Shirts are available to purchase for $20 until April 15.|
A KIDCAM camp T-shirt must be worn to camp daily. T-shirts can be purchased online through your parent account and will be available to pick up at our Mid-May Open House and on your first day of camp.

|Weekly Themes||Kidcam’s engaging weekly themes are action-packed with activities that promote fun, fitness, friendship, and creativity each week of camp. “The Spirit of Summer” celebrates all that makes Kidcam’s 46 years GREAT. Campers will enjoy a different theme each week, while still incorporating their daily choice of activities ranging from Sports, Arts, STEM, Specialty & Water Play. This allows campers to choose between a variety of new programs, activities and challenges led by their camp counselors. Weekly schedules & any field trips will be posted online no later than the Friday prior to each week a camper attends.|

MaryBeth Waller is a veteran teacher, and lifelong learner, and she is ready to serve the children of the Gulf Coast this summer with an enriched opportunity at Kidcam Camp.
With 19 years of teaching experience, 17 in Georgia, and an additional two at Gulf Shores Elementary in third grade, she brings skills from working with students’ grades 1 through 5. In addition to my teaching experience, MaryBeth worked at Camp Invention for 7 years, and completed many professional development courses involving nature and the ocean.
She and her husband visited the area 4 years ago and fell in love. Gulf Shores is now home, and serving the children in her community is her passion. She looks forward to the summer ahead working to provide a fun, entertaining, and engaging camp for your children. |

|Camper to Counselor Ratio||10:1 With camper safety as the cornerstone of our program, the camp staff consists of certified teachers, outstanding college students and responsible and energetic teenagers. Once hired, the Kidcam staff goes through a rigorous training program in preparation for the first day of camp.|
Payment Options, Weekly Transfer & Refunds
|Payment Options||Payment options include paying weekly or in advance for discounts. We accept, cash, check and all major credit cards. If paying tuition weekly, tuition must be paid no later than 3pm on the Friday prior to the week you are attending camp. A $10 late will be assessed after 3pm on Fridays and the sibling discount is no longer active.|
|Transfer Weeks||Kidcam has a no refund policy on all fees paid after May 26th. Tuition paid weekly is due no later than Monday morning at drop-off, and all weekly balances for food and after-care must be paid in full on Friday at the time of pick-up. A $10 charge will be incurred on any weeks transferred after May 9th, as well as any unpaid balances at the end of a week. Discounts only apply when payments are made online and prior to a child arriving at camp. Weekly transfers can be made only towards the payment of another week (not food or aftercare), and there are no transfers made against full summer session purchases. |Cancelling Weeks||If you need to cancel any weeks of summer camp for your child, you may do so prior to May 22 by calling Kidcam at 877-4KIDCAM.|
|Refunds||No refunds will be issued after May 22. Registration fees are non-refundable.|
|Online Account Management||Kidcam understands the busy schedules of working families. As a convenience, Kidcam offers an online account management system. Parents can register online, order apparel, set up food accounts, view payment history, track charges such as meal and after-care charges and pay fees online with a credit or debit card at anytime. By logging in to our safe, secure payment site, parents can print payment records as receipt for tax purposes or for your employer’s Dependent Care Reimbursement program. Our Federal tax ID # is provided with each payment record.|
