Kidcam City Park
Summers Rock at City Park!
At 1,300 acres, City Park is one of the largest urban parks in the country. Located in the heart of New Orleans, this local treasure holds a special place in the hearts of generations of New Orleanians. With a large menu of sports, recreational activities, kid-friendly attractions and natural beauty, City Park makes the ideal location for a KIDCAM summer full of adventure, fun friends and memories to last a lifetime.
Campers have access to the Amusement Park rides at scheduled times throughout the week, as well as to Storyland, the Great Lawn, a large playground area, and they swim weekly at Woodlake Country Club. Birthday cottages and a covered shelter offer each group a cool, air-conditioned place to escape indoors.

|Pick Up & Drop Off||Watch this video to help you locate our Home Base: http://youtu.be/nPxqJ8MAwGg|
Drop off from 7:00 a.m. thru 9:00 a.m. is at the back gate on Stadium Drive. This is between Tad Gormley Stadium and the Amusement Park Train Depot. “Stadium drive” runs directly behind the Amusement Park parallel to Roosevelt Mall. It’s in between Tad Gormley and the back of the park.
Pick up at 3:00 p.m. is also at that gate.
Anything else (late drop off after 9:00 a.m., early check out, or after care pick up) occurs through the same entrance. Parents must come into the Birthday Village, and there will be a staffed trailer used for Kidcam. Parents can check out their children here.
To access Stadium Drive, take the road that runs in front of the Amusement Park towards Marconi. At the stop sign right before the train tracks (and before Marconi), take a right. This goes in front of the blue jungle gym. If you take that around to the back of the Amusement Park, you can access the entrance there, too. Look for the directional yard signs.
It’s also directly across the double gates into the side of Tad Gormley stadium. |

Ages & Programs
|_. Ages | Boys and Girls entering Pre-Kindergarten* in Fall – 13. | |_. Newbies | *For 43 years, Kidcam has provided a very special summer program for our young campers. However, we recently learned of a law that was passed stating that “Camps are defined as ages 5+. Kidcam is currently working with our state representative to modify this definition in the form of a bill in the upcoming April session. We are very proud of our Newbie program, and we hold ourselves to extremely high standards within our company. We are hoping we know the status of this law prior to the start of summer camp, and that we know more in early May. We plan to aggressively challenge this law, as we are the gap & transition for so many families during the summer months.
We urge our parents of 3 & 4 year olds to still register for summer camp at Kidcam. If you do register and the law is not changed, we will provide a full refund. |
|Kidets||Boys and Girls ages 5-6 and 7-9|
