One of the most typical questions “Camp People” get from the outside world is, “what do you do when it’s not Summer?” I think they think we just sit around and eat Cracklin all day, (which we do eat a lot of in our office), but we truly spend 365 days a year working to make the Spirit of Summer come to life at Kidcam.
Once we get to Fall and start the planning process, we tend to reminisce. We look back at what happened this past summer so we can begin preparation for the upcoming year. When we do this, we go through a lot of pictures, and there’s always a handful that we go back to, time and time again, because they just make us SMILE. We wanted to share just a few of our Kidcam favorites from this year. The ones that remind us of the memorable moments and lasting friendships all made possible through the power of camp.
We see our ROCKSTARS, both campers and staff, doing what they love; making memories and being awesome. We see faces of the people we KNOW. The ones we Fist Bump each morning, whom we love seeing and talking to each day, but might only get to see those 10 weeks out of the year. Just in these few photos, there’s Lauren, who we have high-fived every summer since she was 5, and now she’s 11. And Coach Ryan, Kidcam’s most tenured director, who is now in his 20th year directing a Kidcam camp. We look forward to the months when we get to see his smiling face, and hear his “favorite” camp stories and take part in some of Kidcam’s most loved camp TRADITIONS.
The smiles, faces, programs and moments we see in pictures INSPIRE us, as leaders, to continue working year round to make our company great. To be more PURPOSEFUL in all that we do, so you, as a parent and someone who trusts Kidcam, look forward, just like we do, to Summer, and watching your child grow in new ways, making new memories and lasting friendships at Kidcam.
And in a month where we recognize everything that makes us thankful, know that at Kidcam, we are thankful for you and all of those who truly are the SPIRIT of Summer. So, thank YOU, for being such a Rockstar.
